The Opportunity

The Shenzhen Production Lead is responsible for developing important stories and executing the creative production strategy in collaboration with marketing and admissions. This role will help lead creative production for video production, local ad production and localization for various media including print, digital, social media, and programmatic media as particularly relevant to this market. Deliverables include the development of new materials, creating advertisements in print, social media content, promotional and informational events, identity design and supporting the Director of Content & Events/Marketing  in ensuring that the Avenues brand is consistently executed.  This role is responsible for the awareness, maintenance and retention phases of Avenues brand building in China while following  Avenues’ worldwide brand standards.   


The Shenzhen creative production lead  reports to the Director of Content & Events/Marketing. This role works with faculty/staff to help them imagine projects that will become content used to attract, engage and retain families, students and employees.


Key Responsibilities


  • As a key member of digital engagement teams,  works closely with admissions and Shenzhen leadership to tell the story of Avenues Shenzhen.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and local agencies in the China market educating them about Avenues unique worldview and position in education.
  • Is able to understand the unique qualities of Avenues and able to produce and develop them in a broad range of media, either individually or in partnership with other agencies  including:
    • Video
    • Still Photography
    • Graphic Design
    • Theatrical presentations
    • Multimedia
    • Augmented Reality
    • Virtual Reality
  • Lead the development and execution of a wide variety of optimal enrollment and campus collateral, including digital ads, brochures, parent presentations, event materials, and special projects – in both print and electronic formats.
  • Manage and set procedure for the full creative development – including creative requests, project flow, deadlines, and prioritization. 
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects within budget and on brand.
  • Own campus brand VI  & style guide and execute  creative initiatives locally with the fit for purpose communication solutions for Chinese customers in mind while following Avenues’ worldwide brand standards.




  • Is a strong storyteller, preferably  with at least 5 years relevant experience in video editing and still photography 
  • Has an aesthetic mind setthat spans design, art, music, theater.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (After Effects, Audition a plus)
  • Project managementskills, to move complex projects forward on schedule and keep multiple people aligned and on track. 
  • Understands the complex nuancesbetween domestic  and international  brands and marketing.
  • Has High Standards and Attention to Detail, does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project. 
  • Organization and Planning, Plan, organizes, schedules and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.
  • A keen analytical, problem-solving approach, including in ambiguous situations that require figuring out new solutions rather than taking predetermined paths to success
  • Flexible Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Copes effectively with complexity and change.
  • Fluent in Chineseand English.
